OLIVE HARVEST & OLIVE OIL PRODUCTION
Have you ever thought about what factors determine the taste of olive oil? Obviously the 100-200 years of historical journey of olive and olive trees… The slope of the planting land, the spacing of the trees, the amount and direction of sun and wind exposure, the size of the tree, the soil composition (toughness, lime, stoniness, the percentage of all)… In short, each olive has its own unique combination. Therefore, know-how, natural conditions and coincidences are involved in the production of olive oil. The guests of ZIGO’S Hotel can join our olive harvest in September and participate in olive oil production experiencing the phenols, pulp, bitterness and pungency of olives in olive oil factory. Definitely pesticide-free, local, and collected as early as possible and in the best conditions and cold-pressed. Make your fresh bread ready for it…

Would you like to discover what’s going on outside the hotel? Then you can join one of our bike tours and explore the local natural gems on your own. With a longer time convenient for you, as small private groups, you can collect new memories with a small fishing boat, or a gulet cruise along the beautiful landscapes in the western coast of Turkey.

PICKING DAYS
There are almost 40 different species of edible mushrooms that grow in Turkey. In the spring, together with the guests of ZIGO’S Hotel, we walk along the paths of Sarıgerme with our baskets and collect the most delicious local sorghum mushrooms. In the evening, these hand picked mushrooms enrich our most delicious dishes.
FRUITS & VEGETABLES FROM OUR GARDEN
We have allocated a part of our 7000 m2 land to grow our own fruits and vegetables. If ZIGO’S Hotel guests wish, they can prepare their salads with mint, tomato, cucumber and pepper that they have handpicked from our gardens in the morning. Neither the taste, the smell nor the experience of such a salad can be forgotten…
COOKING CLASSES
One of the indoor group events at ZIGO’S Hotel are the cooking classes from famous chefs. During these workshops, our guests discover their cooking skills with the opportunity to enjoy the practical knowledge and the delicious meal they help prepare. Don’t forget that our kitchen contains a wood-fired tandoori well, a pita bread oven and fresh vegetables from the garden… Expand the limits of your imagination! Booking in advance is recommended.
LOCAL TASTES
A breakfast prepared by local chefs including homemade pies, daily eggs of Hotel’s own free-range chickens, salads made with fruits and vegetables grown in Hotel’s garden… Served with a “third wave” coffee prepared by our barista. For dinner, guests of ZIGO’S Hotel can choose from special dishes such as pizzas cooked in wood-fired oven and baby goat cooked in tandoori. At the end of the day, they can enhance it with a good wine from our exclusive wine cellar.
MOVIE NIGHTS
The tradition of “open air cinema nights”, one of the most entertaining traditional summer events of small Anatolian villages in the past , continues to live in ZIGO’S. ZIGO’S Hotel invites its guests to this nostalgic journey, to enjoy open air movies on the huge curtain by the pool, comes with delicious snacks. Don’t forget to get your complimentary popcorn!

Under the cypress trees, ZIGO’S Hotel’s overflow pool perfectly satisfies the demands of the swimming-lovers. Enjoy a serene sporting experience without getting tired, hitting anyone, or sharing the swim lanes. The nearby Sarigerme beach is one of the Blue Flag certified beaches of the Mediterranean Sea. Guests can reach the calm sea from the flat sands, with the help from our hotel’s Butler service, guests can choose from a variety of transport options, such as bicycle rental or a private chauffeur. The nearby Dalaman River offers different experiences of rafting or fishing.
